Featuring the Music of Korea

This album is the result of spending the last two years studying and arranging Korean folk and children’s songs. After workshopping and performing this music with several different groups and seeing a lack of representation for Korean music in jazz, I set out to produce this album, which will be released on April 15, 2022 on Origin Records.

About the Musicians

  • Rodney Whitaker

    I grew up listening to the legendary Rodney Whitaker, and I was honored that he agreed to play for this recording. His omnipresent sound and his time made the recording session a delight.

  • David Alvarez III

    David is a classmate from the University of Michigan, and we have remained friends since. The energy that he brought to the project was irreplaceable.
